With it’s set up in a middle life struggling single parent family, “THE FIX” tells the story of a young teenage girl Travor who becomes a drug addict and a victim of trauma when she couldn’t help the emptiness missing her father. Even though she was living with her mother, she couldn’t confide in her hence she resorted to drugs to try console herself and find a peace of mind. The fix also addresses a mind set that most parents in the African context have that girls don’t use drugs thinking it’s only the males who do drugs. This makes them lag as per their responsibility of building a proper mother to child relationship so as to know what their children are going through.
