Robert Maxwell Ochan

I have worked on several documentary projects including scripwriting & directing “The Millennium Village-Anyara” a UNDP Millennium Villages documentary. “The Plight of  a Forgotten People” a documentary on the crisis in Northern Uganda for a United Kingdom based Charity organization, African Community Health & Research Organisation- ARCHRO. “Food Security Project for the People of Luwero” for Plan Uganda. “The Teaching of French in Africa”, a documentation funded by the French Embassy through Kyambogo University dept. of Linguistics. Has worked for major newspapers: The New Vision, Monitor Publications, The Observer- News reporting and Television and Radio stations in Uganda as a reporter. Also written plays (dramas), Guide books for Youths on the scourge of HIV/AIDS for UK based charities, and currently working on a documentary for Compassion International” several other media related projects, A graduate of Journalism and Mass Communications.

Maxwell has worked with some of the prominent film makers like Rose Nampijja- Editor,NTV Phillip Namayo- Camera, NTV. James Mbiri- sound etc. from GREAT LAKES FILM company a German supported film company that has produced some of the most  Dow Award winning films like Full Of Energy, Traditional Healers in Uganda, Hand in Hand -a soap opera giving value and importance to vocational training among other films and documentaries.

I love film making and hope to be eligible to attend this year’s film directing class to update on what I learnt since 2009 from MAISHA Screen writing Lab.
